[ Hindu Marriage Act Section 18 in Hindi ] –
“हिन्दू विवाह के लिये कुछ अन्य शतों के उल्लंघन के लिए दण्ड “
प्रत्येक व्यक्ति जो कि धारा 5 के खण्ड (iii), (iv) तथा (V) में उल्लिखित शर्तों के उल्लंघन में विवाह इस अधिनियम के अधीन अनुष्ठित करा लेता है।
(क) धारा 5 के खण्ड (iii) में उल्लिखित शतों के उल्लंघन की अवस्था में कठोर कारावास से जो दो वर्ष तक का हो सकेगा, या जुर्माने से, जो एक लाख रुपये तक हो सकेगा या दोनों से:1।
(ख) धारा 5 के खण्ड (iv) या खण्ड (V) में उल्लिखित शतों के उल्लंघन की अवस्था में सादे कारावास से जो एक महीने तक का हो सकेगा, या जुर्माने से, जो एक हजार रुपये तक का हो सकेगा या दोनों से;

धारा 18 Hindu Marriage Act
[ Hindu Marriage Act Sec. 18 in English ] –
“Punishment for contravention of certain other conditions for a Hindu marriage”–
Every person who procures a marriage of himself or herself or to be solemnized under this Act in contravention of the conditions specified in clauses (iii), (iv), and (v) of Section 5 shall be punishable-
(a) in the case of a contravention of the condition specified in clause (iii) of Section 5, with simple imprisonment which may extend to fifteen days, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both;
(b) in the case of a contravention of the condition specified in clause (iv) or clause (v) of Section 5, with simple imprisonment which may extend to one month, or
with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both;
(c) Clause (c) omitted by Act 2 of 1978.
