भारतीय संविदा अधिनियम की धारा 177 | Section 177 of Indian Contract act
[ Indian Contract act Sec. 177 in Hindi ] –
व्यतिक्रम करने वाले पणयमकार का मोचनाधिकार—
यदि उस ऋण के संदाय या उस वचन के पालन के लिए, जिसके लिए गिरवी की गई है, कोई समय अनुबद्ध हो, और पणयमकार ऋण का संदाय या वचन का पालन अनुबद्ध समय पर करने में व्यतिक्रम करे तो वह किसी भी पश्चात्वर्ती समय में इसके पूर्व कि गिरवी माल का वस्तुतः विक्रय हो, उसका मोचन करा सकेगा, किन्तु ऐसी दशा में उसे ऐसे अतिरिक्त व्ययों का, जो उसके व्यतिक्रम से हुए हों, संदाय करना होगा।

“Defaulting pawner’s right to redeem”–
If a time is stipulated for the payment of the debt, of performance of the promise, for which the pledge is made, and the pawnor makes default in payment of the debt or performance of the promise at the stipulated time, he may redeem the goods pledged at any subsequent time before the actual sale of them2; but he must, in that case, pay, in addition, any expenses which have arisen from his default.
